Welcome to our blog!
Hello! We are the Earthwatch Conserving Wetlands and Traditional Agriculture in Mexico expedition 2017. We'll be working in Xochimilco on the outskirts of Mexico City from July 30 - August 5. We'll be posting regularly on the history, ecology and current conditions in the area and what it's like to be part of an Earthwatch expedition. So please check back with us and ask any questions you have in the comments section. We'll get right back to you!

Bruce Taterka, Mendham High School, Mendham New Jersey
Hello! My name is Bruce Taterka and I'm in my 13th year of teaching environmental science at Mendham High School. I enjoy the outdoors, travelling and doing hands-on science and bringing it all back into my classroom to get my students excited about the environment. This is my second Earthwatch expedition and I'm looking forward to meeting my teammates and researchers next month.
